A 1970 video of The Doors performing "Ship of Fools" at Bakersfield Civic Auditorium has surfaced on YouTube. 

The video is darkly lit and grainy, and the performance generally unremarkable. Singer Jim Morrison sports a full beard. 

But it's interesting to think that one of the world's biggest rock bands played Bakersfield at their peak. Doesn't happen these days.

I was there!   Seems the "grainy" quality of the film is better than my memory.  lol

Be fun if a film of the Rolling Stones at the Civic would surface sometime.

There seems to be two or three videos of  "live" songs performed by the Doors in Bakersfield 1970. They are all the same footage but to different songs... none of which actually syncs up with the video.
