Trevor Glaser of Bend, Ore., passed Mike Johnson with just more than two laps remaining to win the 40-lap Super Late Model Division Saturday night at Bakersfield Speedway.
The race featured six lead changes among four different drivers.
"I've been down here seven, eight, nine times and we've had problems and never got the finish we wanted," Glaser said. "That was the most fun I've ever had racing."
Thirty-one cars showed up to compete in the division including several other like Glaser that traveled long distances to get to the track.
After working his way into second place, Glaser powered past Johnson in the apex of turns three and four on lap 38.
Johnson finished second followed by A.J. Kirkpatrick, Andy Obertello and Mike Kirby.
John Lowery passed Kirkpatrick, the early leader, for the top spot on lap nine.
