It doesn't seem to much matter which Harris climbs into the Nitro Thunder Top Fuel dragster.

Brett Harris of Kaysville, Utah proved that once again Sunday at the 51st March Meet came to a conclusion at Auto Club Famoso Raceway.

Harris won this event two years ago, but took last year off to concentrate on his family. That put his father Jack Harris back into the driver's seat and he ended up driving to his third March Meet title.

This weekend, the keys to the family hot rod were turned over to the younger Harris again and it remains an impressive ride.

He qualified No. 1 at 5.692 and capped a spectacular weekend with a 5.674 effort to beat Rick White in a fantastic final.

Harris got the jump off the start and maintained that edge throughout the race, pulling away at the finish to beat White's 5.
