JC roundup: Citrus scores 4 in 8th to beat BC in baseball

GLENDORA -- Citrus College rallied for four runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to overcome Bakersfield College, 8-7, Thursday afternoon in a Western State Conference baseball game.

The Renegades (8-14-1 overall, 6-7 WSC) scored four runs in the top of the seventh to take a 7-3 lead. But Citrus (15-6, 9-4 WSC) scored once in the seventh and opened the eighth with the first six batters reaching against relief pitcher Zach Arneson.

Imaad Nuriddin had a single, double and two RBIs for BC and Joe Ramirez had a double and two runs scored.

BC plays Citrus again Saturday at 1 p.m. before returning to Bakersfield to play Los Angeles Mission on Tuesday and Thursday at Sam Lynn Ball Park. Both games are scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
